Audio Research D240 MkII vs D130

My D100 just died, so I'm looking at a used ARC amp, since the wife won't let me spend the $ for new. The D240 MK2 on ARCDB shows 120 watts at 8ohms and the D130 shows 130 at 8ohms. Anyone hear both of these? Which would give better sound stage, smoothness and reliability? I'm hooking one of these up to an ARC LS3 preamp.

My fav ARC was the D115, a very tight controlled tube amp, some say it's the most solid state sounding tube amp built by ARC.

Hi there- I just bought a d240 mk2-- I don't grasp the shorting plugs?? I'd like to use the single ended rca inputs. There are two sets- one set says normal-one set says inverted. I plan to use this with my ARC LS3. I guess I need to figure out if the LS3 inverts or does not--anyone been down this road? thanks
The D240 MK II is much superior to the D130.

I owned the D240 MK II for years. It was very good!
