Audio Mirror D2 - keep or no?

I'm on the verge of selling my Audio Mirror DAC-2. Why? I don't know... I suppose I read a little bit about it and caught a few bad reviews... one saying it is basically a cheap $130 design with minor upgrades... but couldn't this be said for ANY DAC?

So I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with this DAC and if they can give me an opinion on how it compared to the other ones they have heard.

I am specifically thinking about selling/trading it for an MHDT Paradisea or a Scott Nixon offering. Would this be worth it, would it be '6 of one half a dozen of the other', or would it actually be a downgrade?

Thanks.

I like my D2 as do two of my friends, but, I think I'm going to sell mine to buy the tube dac (Tubador) that Vlad is now building. I have heard it and there is no comparison. In fact, for me, this is the dac to have right now. An amazing piece.
I still own an original D1 that has been modified. I've always liked this DAC in stock and modified form. If you like the NOS sound and TDA-1543 chips then unless something else is wrong with the DAC you're probably going sideways with your move.

However, the Valab NOS DAC mentioned in the forums here looks very promising. I might just try one out for myself. For $200 it worth a shot.
Hmm... Ok, perhaps I'll stick with what I have then. It sounds good to me, but I haven't heard many DACs to compare to, so there is no way for me to know if the D2 is competitive or not.
The Valab looks like it has almost the same exact outer casing as the Audio Mirror DACs. Are they the same inside as well?
It does look nice. It would be interesting to hear a comparison between the two - the Valab and the Audio Mirror D2.
