Audio Kharma website

Do people take this website serious. They have a thread about bacon that has over 1000 posts. One guy was complaining that audio was an expensive hobby but only had 300.00 tied up in his system. They think that audio made during the 70's blows away gear made in 2013. I can't figure out if these people took to much acid back in the day or are people really that stupid.

AK is really comical stating "no attitude" as they are a wolfpack there, closed off to any message the see as against the majority there.
Its fine to have a leaning of vintage but you can not even debate cables or most any premium item without a pounce from heavyhanded moderators and members. I guess dumpster divers need a place to post like anyone else but they can not seem to for the most part grasp that it is about loving music. To be fair the reverse pops up here now and then so go figure. There is a moderate problem of jealousy there for those who listen to higher priced gear.
Taters is right to point out the abusive attitude over on AK but you also gotta let it go. I was on AK few years back, was subjected to the abuse and foolishly fought back instead of just moving along and let kids enjoy their little lunch table. Its like trying to debate a drunk over there, they can not grasp reason or even accept opinion.
You can bet this thread will be talk at the lunch table. The funny part was while the wolfpack pounced on me wnd the member mods backed them up the head guy there was privately emailing me messages of support and asking me to come to the festival they have in Michigan.
Its not a crime to like old gear or even champion cheaper gear as everyone comes at things differently. The problem is while everyone comes at this hobby differently most on AK lost the fact we are all supposed to come together over loving the music played on whatever system or price. Again some here lost that ideal aswell equating money spent to actual love of music, shame on both right?
Whats worse the dumpster diver or the guy with $50k in gear and 75 "audiophile" albums as his only listening pleasure? It does happen.
Cheap, old, new, expensive, the tent should fit everyone because afterall the hobby as a whole remains on life support.
Hmmm,
I would rather vist a true music lover with a humble vintage rig who had a great music selection over a guy who only plays Diana K and Chesky recordings any chance I got. I understood you Tater up till your last post, at that point you lost me.
People in this hobby can have it all, if they accept it all.
This is starting to remind of the preacher who screams about gays right up till one is found in his hotel room.
Live and let live, better than looking like a dbag.
Who is smarter the guy who is "blessed" with a taste for finer things in life but not enough cash or the guy who finds pleasure in the affordable and obtainable?
I would pick 2, its better than pipe dreams and disapointment.
so Taters this thread is simply becoming (and quickly) as pointless and petty as the site you for some reason think about way too much.
