Audio grade plug with a removable ground pin?

The PS Audio power cables have a screw out Ground pin from memory, question is why would you want to? If your equipment is not double isolated removing the ground connection can present a safety hazard in case of equipment failure.

Is it possible to disconnect the ground on the outlet itself? It seems like that would be a cleaner solution.

It's illegal to remove the ground from an outlet. All metal electrical boxes and outlets must be bonded. You could kill yourself or a loved one.
