I don't see that you need to test both pieces, the MF is an integrated amp, if it has no output its the problem, if the output is fine, it's the preamp. Seems pretty simple and straightforward.
Audio compatability and testing
I was combining a Musical fidelity electra 100 integrated, carve pre amp and proac tablette speakers for a small bedroom system. i heard what i can describe as short sqacky sound. now no out put. First Is the MF 100 an amp the can function without a pre amp, if not how can i test both pieces to see which one has the output problem. Thanks
