Audible hiss from Classe CP-700 Preamp (5 feet from speakers)

I recently upgraded my system and changed out my amp and preamp. Everything else in my system stayed the same except for the additon of a [new to me] Classe CP-700 preamp and a Classe CA-2200 amplifier. My speakers are B&W 805S.

Now I notice an audible hiss coming from the tweeter even up to about 5 feet from the listening position if the room is silent and I concentrate hard and have my ear at tweeter level. This was not happening with my old and significantly less pricey gear. The amount of hiss does not change depending on volume adjustment.

I know it is the preamp because I put my old preamp back into the chain. (while keeping my new CA-2200 amp in) and the hiss all but disappeared entirely. It went from being able to be heard about 5 feet away to me needing to have my ear within inches of the tweeter to be heard.

Emailing Classe has not been a ton of help. All they could tell me is it could be a possible interference issue or there may be nothing wrong with the preamp at all.
