Attention Sonus Faber Amati Owners

The white emulsion liquid (looks like some auto rubber conditioner like Armorall) that is supplied with the speakers is supposed to be used (according to the instructions) to clean the front baffle and the cone surrounds of the woofers and midrange. Have any of you done this to the surrounds and did you feel a bit uncertain in doing it?

I have very carefully cleaned around the surrounds, but only with a dry soft cloth (I've on occasion used the red cloth that was supplied) and never with the liquid. I don't even have the liquid anymore.

I would definitely feel unsure using a liquid and don't see the need for it at all.

Cheers
I have a pair of Guarneri Homages: I use a leather conditioner once a year to the front baffle. I apply it with a chamois cloth very sparingly. Then I buff it dry with a clean chamois. The drivers I clean with canned compressed air.  The cabinets 3 drops of lemon oil applied to micro fibre cloth. Then I buff it dry with a clean micro fibre cloth. Never rub or scub hard, otherwise, the cabinets damage very easily. The compressed air seems to the tick for the drivers & surrounds.
