ASC tube trap full round with dark and light sides - diffusing vs absorbing

In the older model full round ASC tube traps, one half is light coloured and the other half is dark charcoal coloured. Does anyone know what the colours represent? Which of the two colours is for diffusing? Thanks.

At a distance of about six inches, speak into the tube trap.  Turn it 90 degrees and do it again.  The absorptive side will seemingly swallow your voice.
Ah ha, okay. Were the two-color traps a limited time offering? I’ve never seen even a photo of one. I'll be setting mine back up again soon---I'll have to give them a call myself to find out what the seam side is.
Hi, thanks bdp24. Yes, I did call them, but the person who answered had not worked there long enough and did not know.

And yes, with one colour there is a single seam so it's easy to know which side is the diffuser. But with two colours, there are two seams; one seam each time the two colours meet one another.
I've never seen or even heard of half & half colored ASC tube traps, but I do know that the reflective versus absorptive side can be identified by the location of the seam. One or the other is centered on the seam, but I don't remember which. Give ASC a call at (800)272-8823.
