Ariston RD-11e, now what

After posting several times here for help on an initial TT purchase, I ended up getting an Ariston RD-11 model E. I figured this would be a good place to start scratching my vinyl itch. I know the arm needs rewiring, RCA jacks need installed and the power cable ought to be replaced so I'm looking for resources on where to go and what to do. There's no real Hi-Fi shops around so unless I absolutely have to have a professional do this, I'd prefer to do it myself. Now that I have a TT what's next? How do I start narrowing down the cartridge? Where does one get the alignemnt tools, procedure, etc... Are there specifications that would eliminate some cartridges? Someone recommended an Aurum Classic II cartridge (MM high output 3.6mv) previously as it was suitable for the Pioneer receiver I have but I'm not sure what that is based on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. From one (TT) comes many (questions). Thanks in advance!!

Maybe... if I ask questions singly, I'll get more replies? So, here goes. What should I consider when trying to match a cartridge to an amplifier/reciever?
I use to sell them, they had a set up jig that the company provided for dealers, I let mine go with the last one I sold. They did not make arms, what arm is on this one? Have you looked at Vinyl Engine, they are the best source for information on older products. They have alignment protractors you can download free for most arms.
