Aragon 28K Preamp Problems

Hi,

Has anyone experienced problems with the Aragon 28K preamp? I have owned the preamp for about 3 years and the other day I turned it on and it did not work. I took it down to the store and they replaced the fuse but it shorted the second the preamp was powered up. Has anyone experienced this problem or any others with this preamp? The amp in my system is the Aragon 8008BB.

If the unit shorted the AC fuse upon powering up, then your problem is a bad power supply transformer. Probably a shorted turn in one of the transformer's internal windings. Only a technician will be able to troubleshoot and replace the bad power supply.
