your description would apply to the amps too. unfortunately lots of recorded music benefits from the grunt of push/pull. hopefully your new speakers will get you there.
Anyone heard the Sonist Concerto 2?
People, I'm selling my C&C Abbys and auditioned a pair of the Sonist Concerto 2's with a Fi X 2A3. I thought they were excellent and a definate upgrade with big improvements in almost all areas. Has anyone heard these speakers? Having owned the Abby's for 9 months, I'm not sold on the single driver concept. It seems that the Abby's are fantastic with well recorded intimate material but not so versatile for the omnivorous music lover. I'm using Cary 2A3 monoblocks and a Cary 98L. Any thoughts???
