Anyone have or had Acoustic Research 312ho towers?

I was given an Acoustic Research AR2C center a couple of years ago and have been using it with my Paradigm Phantom V2s and the rest of my HT. Anyway I recently came across a friend who wants to sell me 2 312HO towers and the AR2C center. They have some very slight scratches and one of the subs on one of the towers is missing a cover. So I thought it would be great to have matching speakers for once and was wondering if the $250 obo was a good deal or not. From the specs they look much better than my Paradigms. What do you guys think?
