There really isn't anything to compare them to because the Rushmores' are self-powered. So, for $45k, you eliminate the need for power amps, and the decision process to decide which amp(s) mate best. Also, if you only go CDP, you get something with volume control and now eliminate the pre-amp. That said, I have heard these and was very impressed! Very dynamic. Absolutely amazing on large orchestral works as well as vocals.
