Any VTL experts in here?

Or will I be satisfied with the lesser S-200?

I have the 450MKII Mono Blocks.  I'm the second owner, I got them from Friend, neither of us have had any issue's. I have never heard the S-200 so I won't comment.

Which one is a better performer?

"Better" or "Best" is what I try to avoid. Why not call VTL and see what they might be able to share on the pros/cons of the S vs. MB models, in a general manner, but also for your speakers. I have the the Amati Futura and these need serious current drive to get the woofers to come alive.  Sadly many well-reviewed "high-power" amps, SS and tube, choke with these speakers.  If you seek a tube amp, you should also consider the Manley amps AND CAT.

I can not carry a conversation with Bea Lamn nor local dealership. They’re more interested to  discuss on new and current models and what they have in stock ready to take in order...

Mildly OT:  does anyone know what brand 12AU7s VTL uses in the 6.5 II preamp?  Much thanks.
