AntiCables

...anyone try their new top of line cables?

Most likely they sound just like the old line but cost more ,,like most high end audio. Mark I,2,3 and 4 close your eyes make a choice then take a look at the price. You just might change your mind and say let me hear that all over again.
In all fairness, when I changed a year or two ago to his Silver interconnects, there was a marked change for the better. These silver balanced interconnects that I have are connected via Neutrik connectors....he now has a better connector and offers to change for the better ones for a reasonable fee.
..just sent my Anti's back for retermination to Xhadow XLR connections and shotgun speaker cables. I'll let you know.....
The Silver IC's are a definite step up from standard, and compare with $500-$1000/pr cables, IMHO.

Right you are Nglazer....I have the silver balanced cables but with the Neutrik connectors. ....but not any more. Paul said that I'll get my Xhadow terminationed cables back in a couple of days. ...by the way.... price has very little to do with how a cable sounds in a system.
Thank you, fellows. I was just ready to plunk down the dough for the new Anti-Cable Level 3 speaker wire. I currently have the Audio Art SC-5 standard cable which I like very much, but need to step to either their next level, or something much better. Nevertheless, thank you for the heads up
For a few weeks I have been breaking in a pair of level 3 anti cable speaker cables. I'm using the jumpers, as I decided not to bi wire the speakers. I will say these cables sound very nice and open in my system. I previously had a set of Audioquest bedrock cables and while they sounded good, the anti cables sound much more open and the bass is extended. I am lucky to live in the same city as the owner of anti cable so they were personally delivered and installed. I also swapped out my Audioquest interconnects for my phono preamp with anti cable level 2 and also noticed a more open sound with a extended bass. The only thing I can really say about the cables is the music just flows, maybe all that heavy insulation on the Audioquest slowed down the signal.
...this is a continuation of my report regarding the Anti-Cables that I had reterminated with Xshadow connections and with their shotgun bi-wire speaker cables..... Right out of the box..brand new...they are absolutely stupendous. As they are going through their break-in, they are fuzzy with no depth or air. I have much more time with my CD player (Ayre C5xemp) and it was starting to smile at me again, however, my vinyl player (VPI Superscout/rim drive/Benz LPS) is going through that fuzzy stage.
STringreen.....how can they be "right out of the box...absolutely stupendous." but they are "fuzzy with no depth or air." don't mean to be harsh but posts like this are exactly why i put so little stock in other's views.
Todd....I maintain that they were fabulous right out of the box....and then after listening, they changed as they broke in (still changing). I have experienced many cable brands that sound one way out of the box, break in, then reform to sound like they did right out of the box. That's exactly how I hear it.
Stringreen, I am trying some of the Level Two IC's and thus far I like them better then my $1100 IC's. Very open and no weakness at all.
anyone try the new level 3 anticable speaker cable v. the clear day v. mapleshade? Thanks
I'm using the Anti-Cable shotgun cables .....more power, dynamics, and ease. I'm using them bi-wired on my Vandersteen 5A's ...happy.
IS THE NEW LEVEL 3 CABLE MORE ATTRACTIVE IN TERMS OF FLEXIBILITY??. THE OLDER CABLE WAS CONTORTED LIKE A COAT HANGER. IT ALSO DOES NOT DO WELL ON CABLE RISERS. I THINK SPEAKER CABLE SHOULD BE SOMEWHAT FLEXIBLE, AND NOT RIGID. PLEASE LET ME KNOW, IF THE LEVEL 3 SPEAKER CABLE IS EASIER TO WORK WITH. THANKS, jIM
Sunnyjim - Anticable is literally what the name implies, not cable. It is instead extruded solid core copper wire covered with a very thin dialectic coating - this is what gives it such high performance for low prices. The new level 3 wire is actually a pair of 12 guage wires twisted along the length and crimped to a single termination.

As for being difficult to work with, it takes some time to bend and form, but once done most systems won't need cable risers. My previous set of Anticable equaled the ten times as expensive Nordost cables I was using - I suspect the new Level 3 I just purchased will surpass it.
this is helpful as i have the old anti-cable speaker wire and love them. however, the level 3 with the two 12 gauge twisted to be 9awg(?) sounds interesting for better low mid range and bass?
Guys,

I had the opportunity to try Anti-cable Ref 3 power cord in my system and I can tell you first hand that it's possibly the best power cord I have used at this price point by a large margin.

These cables do require extensive break-in but you will be rewarded with a deep/wide soundstage, very good high frequency extension, precise image localization and the tone of this cable is beautiful...

If you're in the market for a PC, give the Ref 3 a try but be warned that you may end up selling your mega dollar cables :)
