Analysis-Plus Solo Crystal Oval cables.

How do these cables sound in your system?
How do they compare with others in their price range?
How do they sound compared to the Analysis-Plus silver ovals?

As a current Solo Crystal interconnect owner and Silver Oval speaker cable owner, I have recently heard a pair of Argent Audio JADEN Signature at a friends house -- pretty incredible.

Next time I visit I'll take my Silver Ovals to see how they compare, but for what it's wort, my buddy (who has experimented extensively with LOTS of cable) says the Argents are the best, by a wide margin, that he's heard.

Might be worth looking into.
I USED TO HAVE ALL SOLO CRYSTAL CABLES IN MY SYSTEM. IC'S & SPEAKER CABLES (I USED 2 PR OF SHOTGUNNED SPEAKER CABLES TO BIWIRE). I ALSO HAD POWER OVALS AS POWER CORDS.
I SWITCHED TO MAC WIRE DELTA'S & THE DIFFERENCE WAS AMAZING.
MORE DETAIL (BUT NATURALLY DELIVERED),MORE AIR, DEEPER & FULLER BASS, DECAY WAS MORE NATURAL,ORCHESTRAL SECTIONS SEEMED TO LIFT OUT OF THE TAPESTRY (JUST LIKE WHAT OCCURS IN THE HALL). THE SOLO CRYSTALS ALSO ADD FINE GRAIN TO THE ACOUSTIC. CRESCENDOES WERE STRONGER $ MORE EASILY DELIVERED. KINDA GET THE PICTURE?
MY EQUIPMENT - THETA JADE W/BATON DIGTAL AES/EBU TO A DODSON DAC, FIRST SOUND PREAMP TO BEDINI MONOS & SHAMROCK EIRE SPEAKERS. MY POWER CONDITIONER IS THE EXACT POWER, ALL EQUIPMENT ALSO HAVE MACWIRE DELTA POWER CORDS

I've recently listened to several cables in my system including the solo crystal ovals. I ultimately decided on the Ridge Street Audio Poiemas however the solo crystals are very good and do deserve the excellent praise they've received. I know its difficult to listen to all the cables out there because of the time consuming task of purchasing and returning cables. I preferred the Poiemas in my system because I heard greater speed and resolution, however the solo crystals are fuller sounding probably because of their copper design and are a little more laid back. The Poiemas on the otherhand place the vocals a little more forward and sound more like live music and drew me into the music more. The Poiemas do use the silver Eichmanns and do not use connectors for the speaker cables, the connector being an extension of the silver conductor shaped like a connector. My suggestion is to try as many cables as you can and decide on which cable brings you the most musical satisfaction. If I hadn't heard the Ridge Streets I would have been very happy with Solo Crystals.
As Jimd said, these cables are complete and total dog's business. Move along, nothing to see here ; )
Hey, Would you guys keep it down about these cables? I have purchased two pair of Solo Crystal interconnects and now I want to acquire the Solo Crystal speaker cables. You guys are making it harder to find them used and driving up my cost. So until I purchase the Solo speaker cables, these are the worst cables that you have ever heard. I'll let you know when I get them, so you can then start telling everyone how great they are. FYI, My speaker manufacturer (Soliloquy) uses AP cables for the internal connections in his speakers. Thanks, Jim
I was referring to both interconnects AND speaker cables.
Thanks for all of your responses so far.
You are talking about the interconnects. Any experience with the solo crystal speaker cables?
I would say that AP Solo Crystals are overall superior to Silver Ovals despite lower price, I sold my silver ovals long ago. The Solos also have very balanced full sound, would like to hear what they sound like with Eichmann Silver Bullet RCAs.

Are they the best $400 IC......I would never say any cable is the best since no one has access to the hundreds of ICs out there, but they are certainly very good. I currently use the slightly cheaper Bogdan Silver Spirit ICs in my reference system, but will not be selling Solos anytime soon (they are too good)
I agree with Timo completely, and that's why these exact cables found their way into my system. I compared them with many of the cables Timo mentions...while I liked the AP Solo Crystals about as much as I liked the Kimber Select 1030, the KS were vastly more expensive, making the decision easy. I also preferred the Solo Crystal to the AP Silver Ovals, the latter being just a touch bright in my system. Putting in Solo Crystals a couple months back tamed that brightness and gave me what I like to refer to as "affordable neutrality."
1. They sound neutral with full top to bottom extension. They let the music flow as unscathed as any cable I have owned or auditioned in my system.

2. Very favorably. They outperformed many I tried that were more expensive such as Nordost, Harmonic Technology, MIT, Discovery, Kimber, Purist Audio, and Siltech.

3. I like them better than the Silver Ovals. To me copper sounds more neutral than silver cables, specifically, less emphasis in the highs and better overall balance from top to bottom.
