Ampzilla 2000 2nd edition

Does anyone have experience with the latest model Ampzilla 2000 2nd edition mono block amplifiers? Also any recommendations on which preamp is more compatible with them? I will be using with Vandersteen 2CE sig II, but will be upgrading to Vandy Quatro's

Hey rafr,

Just saw this posting.  I have the Ampzilla 2000 2nd editions in my piano room.
These are absolutely awesome!  I primarily use a Bryston BP 26 preamp.
I have also bypassed the preamp by connecting various DACs directly to the monoblocks with great results.

Speakers in rotation:
Magnepan LRS
B&W Matrix 801 S2s
Ologe 5
Harbeth SHL5+40ths
KEF LS50s
Rogers LS3/5As from the mid seventies

I have never had the opportunity to listen to any Vandersteens, but the Ampzillas bring out more of what my speakers have to offer vs my other SS amps (Hegel H190, Forte 1A, Michael Yee Audio PA-1).

Both the Harbeths and B&W facilitate biwiring.  With 2 positive and 2 negative posts per amp, I can avoid doubling up speaker wires at the amp side.

I have owned and enjoyed these amps for almost 2 years now.
Unless I win the lottery, these are my end game amps.

Highly recommended!
