Amplifiers:A Keeper for Life. Do you know of one ?

Just wondering, with this audio merry-go-round of buying and selling, if anyone has an amp that will be a keeper for life. I haven't yet but came verrrry close once...

The Bel Canto ref 1000mkii mono blocks in my system might be. Top quality sound and power delivery as best I cal tell. Not sure why I'd ever need to change, unless I get bumped on the head like in a sitcom and suddenly become a SET guy or something.
Lewd,

Check out teh various IcePower or other Class D amps like Wyred and their ilk on this site. You can get all the bang you need in an amp at a very attractive price without having to deal with the hassle and expense of large energy sucking monster amps!
I feel like my BelCanto ref1000ms could be based on their outstanding performance yet I know Class D amp technology is still relatively young and will likely continue to improve over time (more so than other older more established amp technologies) and I am curious exactly how far new technology might yet push the limits accordingly down the road.
For amp/speaker pairings, which I agree is more meaningful, I would say quality high power Class D amps and OHM Walsh perform at the highest levels and at price points affordable to many that nothing else can touch.

That is already the case with recent generation Class D amps not to mention that this technology is still relatively young in its maturity curve and well only get even better over time. Class D amps are a true enabling technology that has huge potential to push home audio to significant new frontiers.

Walsh driver and OHM Walsh speakers have been around for years but also continue to evolve and improve and Class D amps enable them to do things that were practically not possible for many in years past.
