Might consider just adding a multi channel pre amp to the mix. I recently added a ConradJohnson Met1 tube Pre-amp in front of my Denon 5803 avr integrated and am very happy with the added dimensioning the tubes add.

I like the dread, but it is so large and runs hot.
Currently using B and W N804/HTM1/CDM1
With Cary cinema 11.
