AMC DAC8 - Digital-Analog Converter

Does anyone has any experience w/ the AMC DAC8? It seems to be cheap enough (less than $200, brand new) and the only info I found is that it uses the latest generation of bit stream continous calibration ultra-linear D/A converter - whatever that means !!! I don't even know what kind of D/A processor it has whether Burr-Brown or whatever. I have an AMC CD8b CD player and would like to know if this DAC worths the upgrade. Thanks in advance.

FORGET IT. FROM WHAT I CAN TELL THE AMC CD-8B HAS A 24/96 DAC. THE DAC-8 D/A CONVERTER IS A BIG STEP DOWN !!!
This is a fine DAC but old technology at this point. Not sure, but it may be the similar to your CD Player inside so the improvement would be small, mainly the result of the benefits of a separate DAC / Box and power supply. You should not have to pay more than $100 for it at this point.
One used sold on eBay last week for $80. (Item#1212047741)
