AES preamps with AES amps

I have the Cary AES amps in my second system. Is anyone using them with the AES preamp, either the regular or the upgraded DJH? If you are,do you like the combo? I love the amps in my second system, but I'm not super happy with my VTL preamp with it, even though the VTL is a fine preamp. Amy comments would be appreciated
