Adding remote for Volume Control on HK Soundsticks 4

Hi Guys - Just got HK Soundsticks 4 and they sound great! (Had the Soundsticks 2 some years back but they literally fell apart - casing cracked open & magnets fell apart).
I've added them to TV Stand where they also double as an external speaker while blasting music from the smart TV (connected via 3.5 mm output from TV).

The only real headache is getting up from the cosy bed every time to change the volume via the touch buttons on the speaker!

Question: I know it is supposed to be a desktop speaker - but is there any way to add a remote for volume control? ( Anything short of opening them up works - via something - perhaps an external soundcard?)

Chase Remote Line Controller gives you

remote volume; remote balance; 4 line inputs; remote tone controls

you MUST have the remote, no buttons or switches on the unit itself.

btw, I used to use headphone out to line in. I learned here, if you can use usb out to rca, much better.

I believe you, how would I know?

as usual, much of my advice falls on dead ears.
