active/passive biamping of N802

I am very interested in Biamping my N802's
I would prefer to use krell 300cx (gain=26.4) for the woofers and a tube amp with comparble gain for the mids and highs. I am looking for that perfect combination of ss amp & tube amp which still use the passive crossover?
Otherwise active I will go, and in this instance is there a written process explaining what must occur with the wiring or disconnection of the existing crossover to achieve this?
