Acoustic Research AR1 AR-1 speakers w/ Altec 755A

Hey gang, I'm planning to sell a pair of AR1s (the old ones from 1950s). They have Altec 755A's in them, not the more rare Western Electric 755A. Would anyone care to comment on their value? I see them going on eBay for $4000 but I don't want to pay a $400+ commission to them and Paypal. I have enjoyed listening to them over the last couple years.
