Accustic Arts Tube DAC II Mk 2 and Tube DAC II Mk 3

Hello,
Can somebody guide me on the difference between the Accustic Arts Tube DAC II Mk 2 and Tube DAC Mk 3 version?

I am intending to buy AA Tube DAC and feel that the Mk2 version would meet my requirements and importantly save some cash.

Am I correct is saying that the Mk3 version also functions as a preamp and has volume control. I am not requiring this facility and hence Mk2 provided it is in excellent condition should meet my requirement.

Look forward to your views.

Yes, the Tube DAC II Mk3 has a preamp section and volume control that can be in or out of the circuit.

For me, the Mk2 was unacceptable because the AES digital input is limited to 48 kHz sampling rates, and AES is my principal digital format.

Beyond that, I'm not sure what differences there are between Mk2 and Mk3. Now Mk3 does have a USB input and does handle DSD64—not sure if those are important for you or if the Mk2 offers them...

Odd that I have not yet managed to find a single review of the Mk3. . .
