AC regenerator

Can i use ac regenerator for my cd transport whitout loosing dynamic. If your experience is positive give the brand and model that you use please.

I have read a lot about people running devices off of batteries to isolate them from the power grid. A couple of days ago I was thinking, why don't people use UPS back up power supplies for their equipment and just turn off or unplug the UPS before a listening session? Wouldnt this isolate the components and create the desired effect? And what is the difference between a power regenerator and a UPS? Don't they both regenerate the AC? Thanks, Greg
