A very basic question: Mark Levinson 331 and 2 par. of speakers...

The Mark Levinson 331 has two pair of speaker binding posts.

Presuming that the speakers re efficient enough, is there any reason not to try running two identical pairs of speakers from this amp?

I would say it depends on your speakers impedance curve, when they are playing.  Some speakers may be rated at a certain impedance, but dip during certain frequencies.  The 331 is stable down to 2 ohms, so assuming your speakers don’t dip too much, I think it would be ok. Remember-two speakers connected in parallel will cut the lowest resistance in half, so if your speakers dip below 2 ohms, you will actually get 1/2 of that.
