A slant on RFI

An addendum to my post - Of course I neglected to include the power transmission lines which are of course unshielded.

They too will be subjected to bombardment of RFI -But only during the day.

I'll dig out my aluminum foil supplies and get to work.. First thing to cover, an aluminum hat and underwear. The sound gear will have to wait. I have my priorities.

If you are that much concerned about it then why not set your entire system inside a Faraday cage? Please report back if you do.

How would you qualify that phone call?  Was it funny, sad, stressful, good news, work related?  

Get a quality TriField meter and you'll find where the real EMI/RFI fields emanate from. I'll guarantee you that mobile you were talking on is one of those fields.

Electrical Power from any source but in most cases originates from a remote power station -The transmission cable is not continuous but is broken in many places.

The energy is transferred by the oscillating electric and magnetic fields surrounding the cable. 

Light from the sun also transfers energy in the same fashion namely oscillating electric and magnetic fields.

Would it not be possible that interference occurs when these fields intersect ?

Resulting in perceived changes to audio quality.

Well, yes its an actual fact there is rfi generated by the universe, specifically the sun here. But this is virtually unmeasurable compared to what's being given off by all manner of equipment in your house and listening room. Your phone, wifi, transformers and on and on are polluting your environment. Your experience with phone and sun was likely caused by human variability far more than anything of emi/rfi in nature. The mind can do funny things, trying to attach scientific meaning to it futile, just put it down to imagination.
