A Real Treat For Your Ears - MIXING COLOURS by Roger & Brian Eno

Hey Folks,

So browsing for new music on Qobuz (I am assuming it might also be available on Tidal if that is what you use or other platforms), I came across an album MIXING COLOURS by Roger & Brian Eno.

The genre is listed as Electronic but I would say this particular album feels more New Age to me as it is a very subtle and soft album meant to be listened to at low and comfortable volumes (that’s where the magic is) in my opinion.

Now, this type of album might not be your cup of tea but I would highly recommend you listen at least to the first track: Spring Frost. You might end up liking the whole album, I do, but then I like this type of music once in a while.

That track, Spring Frost, Wow, what a treat for your ears. I would recommend to listen to this track late at night, lights off, hopefully everything else around you is absolutely quiet. Sit back and enjoy.

This track at low volumes is just soo sweet.

I don’t think I really understood what sound decay is until I heard this track. The sound just seems to linger in the air after it has left the instrument and the way it reaches your ears, just magic.

I think if you have a really good system, it will be all the more better. You will really hear what your system/speaker is capable of at low volumes

Let me know if you check it out as I am curious if you liked it or not.

PS: The only track I do not like is: Desert Sand, that one is just irritating (listen to it if you want to be irritated, lol).

Thanks

Try the free channel "Deep Space One" at soma FM, for a great stream of some of the best in ambient. This will give you a huge range of ambient you may have never heard before.

Finding good ambient music that one likes is a oddly difficult task. Finding a fit is trickier than one might think. So hearing a dedicated music channel that is rife with the correct type and nature of tracks is a really good thing.

Thanks for the recommendation on the channel. Will definitely check that out. Once in a while, music like that is nice to relax to.

Thanks, jay73 for the recommendation. Beautiful stuff ... and just the ticket to play with the early morning first cup of coffee. And your right ... Desert Sands is irritating. *lol*
