Thanks Jax2. It's neither, but at least I'm not crazy and they did do a spanish Tears. I also remember that it had Fortune Teller on it. It may well be that Letter was indeed Memo.
I'm also thinking that Con le Mie Lagrime Cosi was the first song on side A or B, but not certain.
I have a friend that knows Keith Richards and she's volunteered to ask him about it. But let's face it: would he of all people have a clear memory about this?
The only other album I could find that has the Italian (not Spanish, BTW) version of tears is Greatest Rarities III but there's no mention of either of the other two cuts you mention. I can't even find a cover of "A Letter to Tina" by the Stones. It was written in '61 so that fits your memory of the date.
