A little vindication on the Oppo HA-1
I once called this DAC/headphone amp the worst sound at the California Audio Show near the San Francisco airport.
Long after the company has stopped selling audio gear there's finally some vindication.
My own perception was that it was hard as hell. Another audiophile called it nails on a chalkboard, and yet so many loved it. Can't say I can find a direct correlation between the measurements and sound quality, but it's interesting that the head phone amp portion of the DAC seems to be the worst feature.
