The Ranch
"The Ranch" is my absolute best yet, after 47 years as an audiophile. As a Sound Lab dealer, I have their latest, greatest and largest speaker, the Majestic. They are huge and way too big for the room, (24X24') but as is the case with most SL speakers, they can work well in small as well as larger spaces. The ranch is located on 45 acres of forest land in the coastal hills above the Pacific Coast, near Jenner, CA. While the house is modest, the music room has great acoustics and views! The wood burning stove (fueled by our own sustainable forest) and the wonderful music make the cool winter evenings a joy. The sound is both seductive and addictive, listen-able without fatigue for hours on end. Three very fine sources, an extensive library, and wonderful tube electronics provide a musical environment that speaks to the soul!
While the electronics are great, they are not necessarily the ultra+ that might someday be achieved. Nonetheless, the system is in my opinion quite fine and comes close enough to satisfy my deeply felt desire for great music reproduced well.
