Electrostatic heaven
Having heard the truth of timber on an electrostatics --especially in mids region ,and also a boxless presentation from stats.. makes one always asked for it.. but current development in dynamic loudspeaker may change this.. As I haven't heard Magico or other brands that is praised for being so close to electrostats , so I can't comment my opinion..
But for now , I like the Quad 2905's presentations.. Esoteric DV50 is also quite acceptable for now ( for my ears ) , but the LS 17 ( although once after they start broken in they are really good for their price )I plan to upgrade to ref 3 , as for the classic aleph 3 , I plan to upgrade to ref 110.
For cablings , I am quite satisfied with either Valhallas ( neutral overall ) or Siltech signature series ( more sweeter in the mids ) , and in the future I want to make a complete valhalla cablings thru out and if possible also siltech signature complete cables thru out the whole system..
