Hi!
I love the Calypso's tube compliment( 6922&12AX7) and it's ability (sensitivity) to the combinations of the two!! Current combo Amperex 12Ax7 '50 D Getter & Siemans E188CC.
I'm wondering if mods to the Calypso, caps and resisters might change the sound and make it the Un-Calypso, I don't know enough so I'm worried but I've been contemplating it. Maybe the CD3 should be the sacrificial lamb.
How's the computer audio coming? Can you see it approaching CD quality at a "reasonable" cost? I bought a PS Audio Dac lll with Cullen stage lV mods for this purpose but haven't pursued it I've been so busy playing with the main system.
