Thanks for your comments above. In my opinion, the Sonus Faber Auditor M Speakers are an excellent choice. These speakers are not cheap and they work much better with the Sonus Faber speaker stands priced at $1,200. Yes, in my case. the Ayre AX-7e integrated works very well with the SF Speakers but your separates should also work. please see www.sumikoaudio
If I was choosing between the Ayre QB-9 DAC and the Sonus Faber Auditor M Speakers, I would go with the SF speakers since I believe this upgrade will produce the best sound for you. I also purchased the SF Speakers first and was very surprised at how good they sound. I also upgraded my speaker wire to Synergistic Research TESLA Quad Speaker Cable.
