12-10-09: Chriswilson It looks like your tweeters are off-centered. You might get better sound stage switching the speaker positions, so that the tweeters are pointing "out".
great looking system other than that!

09-10-10: Go4vinyl Hello Chris,
Many thanks for your nice comment - the speakers are intended to be used that way and I have no complaints about the 'staging...it's truly outstanding and converts my tiny room to the space the 'software' was recorded in (no doubt vinyl is way better at this illusion) - just have to close my eyes (and preferably at night with the lights out ;-)
Hey - even Stooges Raw Power sounds great (who'd have thunk it)!

04-14-12: Mountainsong I have same speakers with the Hegel H100 Via MacBook pro to built in DAC plus ps audio perfect wave DAC, nordost red dawn Leif series amazing. How you like this monitors. Did you compare them with others in the price range? I paid 1100 used. No idea is that was a good deal.

04-15-12: Milpai The speakers seem pretty close. What are your room dimensions? Do you use room treatments? I found that room treatments are a must in small rooms. My room is 13.5 X 12.5. But with the room treatments in place, the music is fantastic. BTW, also noticed that you have not mentioned the make of your speakers. I have been suggested to move the Salamander Archtype from in between the speakers and onto the side. This apparently helps the sound stage. I am thinking of experimenting with the rack. I will disassemble it and use the shelves to place the components on the floor. No harm in trying I guess. If it does not sound better, I will put the rack back in place.

06-09-12: Mountainsong Do you still have this speakers, they sound great with AZ cables Hologram. And jumpers. Do you biwire them? I am using Hegel H200 now, great.

06-22-12: Go4vinyl Thanks for your comments Milpai and Mountainsong...yes, it's a real tiny room, don't have any choice really where to place the equipment and listen (real) nearfield...I can't think of any better speakers for my situation - they are like time machines (all of a sudden hours has passed)...I do biwire - they do seem to sound (even) better as such...I really enjoy testing various cables (that I can afford) - power cords never cease to fascinate, how they can change the sound so much - and will try AZ SC as you suggest whenever opportunity strikes...so far the most satisfying has been Nordost Blue Heaven and Valkyrja (I've had Red Dawn and Frey as well)...I've tested a bunch of other known brands as well - my speakers are internally wired with Nordost cable (SA2k Master) and there seems to be a certain synergy...

06-23-12: El_cemento I have a small system too, similar speaker stands but I have them turned the other way with the stand base closer to the wall and the speakers presented forward, makes my room "seem" larger, personal preference I guess. Nice clean looking system.

06-25-12: Mountainsong I am using jumpers now, sound very good, I had home the new nordost lief red down they were clear but fatiguing No as wide silky sounding AZ hologram. As I said I used them with rega brio R, But wasn't enought power, I contact system audio in Sweden they suggested me at least more than a 100 watts amp. I got the Hegel H100 excellent amp, now I am going up trading the h100 and getting the H200, I think that Hegel is one of the biggest bargain in audio this days. I am using the ps audio DAC perfect wave mark I, an awesome machine specially via bridge, my room is a little bigger than yours. Analog I have rega p5 with ps audio phono stage. Can't complain about the ring.
