Hi Bennymus,

Nice mod! Are you using the knife edge from the original arm?

I have replaced the v-blocks in my 78 arm with small slot head screws, I have filed a v shape into the slot. This combined with an external rewire has improved the clarity. I also removed the top shroud as you have done, makes using multiple arm wands easy.

Regards

Hi Bornin50

Thanks! And thanks for your website. I have read them a few times. Actually I thought that your tonearm mods were a bit to "clumsy" but I really liked your small tubes for knife edge bearing.

I think your screw idea is good, and will try something like it soon. For the first try of my arm I just used the old rubber bearings. If the screw bearing version also improves the sound, I think the arm can sound very good in the end.

Congrats on the L78, remember to take advantage of the Autostop!

Hi, you're welcome.

I hope the ideas on the site will provide food for thought for other Lenco owners. Clumsy - yeah, you should see the ones that don't make it. Maybe not. :)

Anyone keeping the Lenco arm should try the splint idea though, it's a winner.

Regards

I have now tried Bornin50 good suggestion with some brass v-blocks. A clear improvement I must say. Also I added a nicer picture.
