Hi Arthur,
I love the A08s. This one has had a few simple mods. The caps are replaced with dulunde & mundorf silver/gold in oil which brought more naturalness,width and detail. But even stock this amp brings so much to the table.
The mesh plate EML 45 tube is sublime as is the EML 80 mesh rec tube.
With the addition of the yammy I don't think about Hifi anymore. I just listen to music. I think that says it all. Music just oozes out.
A note of caution using the A08s with UNOs if you like high SPLs, with the slightly less sensitive UNO & 1.5 - 2 watts of a 45 tube. Some recordings may not quite be loud enough for you, but on the whole you would probably be fine. You could be better off with an extra watt or 2. But the 45 is my favourite tube if you have the sensitivity. So 2x A08s bridged!
You may have to wait some time for me to sell it!
