when I listened to trios with arc amps I did not notice any noise issue. problem with most large conventional amps, tube or ss is that they don't work well at the low watt levels such as horns require. guess designer of such amps do not anticipate anybody using them with +100 db efficient horns.
switching amps do not seem to have such problems.
so if you listen always at +90 db levels my guess is arc will work fine.
if your listening is mostly at low volume level a yamamoto is likely to be a much better choice!
