Albert,
ya I've decided I'm not doing the move into that room, I feel it will just not work to my likings compared to what I currently have.
It's sad because my basement is 3000 sq ft with 9ft ceilings but due to the current layout, two sets of stairs, furnace room etc. the over all space is messed up for audio anyways.
I keep asking my wife how much longer, plan was that we would be working on our last home by now but due to uncontrolled circumstances, mainly the crappy economy over the last few years, high costs it just hasn't happened and the economy really isn't looking all that promising for the near future.
When we move the plan is to have a separate building, if not already there then I will build such for my audio hobby. I would also have an enclosed glass walk way to it so I would not need to go out into the environment, basically a hallway.
I have been looking at my current space and I'm thinking of having the furnace, water tanks relocated by 12ft. This does involve allot but doing such I would then have a space of 21ft by 45ft with 9ft ceilings to work with.
You gotta laugh, what we are willing to do for our hobby. Still not ideal because I really want 10-12ft ceiling height, 12ft being my preference.
I want to be able to have two systems in there, one located on each end. Speakers would be on the 21ft wall.
It's a catch 22 situation because I don't want to spend all of this money and time if the move is in the near future, darn economy.
The bottom end or what MBL relates to as sub-woofer is actually the lower bottom enclosed ported cabinet section which has a 12" driver within, that's the size I was told anyways. Dev (Threads | Answers | This Thread)
