  Pioneer Elite VSX-92TXH confusion
Hello everyone.
I bought the Pioneer Elite VSX92 over a year ago for 3 channel home theater (left, center, right) and 2 channel music listening. Have Monitor Audio Silver RS6 mains. I am completely confused by the AVR setup and am not satisfied at all with the sound using the auto setup. Music just doesn't sound good. Lossless audio via Apple Airport / toslink to AVR.
It should sound better than it does. Anyone have this AVR or have any ideas to help? Considering selling and getting new hardware. Want to use for some movie and mostly digital music. Modest budget, maybe $3000?

I had the AVR - no real issues except for a bad power board. sounded fine but my NAD T775 blew it away ($3,000 vs $1,100, so it should). I would suggest not using the auto set up.

Thanks Cerrot. Using pure direct does sound better. I just feel like there is more to hear. I may try adding an external amp to see if more pure power will help open up the speakers.
