CEC TL5100L cdp problem -- help please

I have a CEC TL5100Z CDP that I have been using as a transport (digital out to my DAC). Today, it stopped, that is, when I put a disc in it doesn't spin, doesn't read the disc, and won't play when I press play. Two questions:

1) Any idea what's wrong?
2) Is there someplace that does work on CEC players?

It could be the belt
It could be the sensor that give the signal to the lens to operate
it could be the optical lens
those unit are really simple to work on it and stay away from store who will ask you stratospheric price to work on ....
