I just bought a set of 16 SED 6550s that are "triple matched" and yet when I check the individual bias on my tubes when the average for each channel is 37mv on my CAT JL2, the individual tubes range in bias from 30 -43mv - that does not sound very matched to me, is this range of bias normal?
02-21-08: Pubul57 Now that I look at the amp manual it does say to expect this type of bias range - I guess when they say matched it does mean they will bias exactly the same in circuit. It does sound wonderful, so... Pubul57 (System | Threads | Answers | This Thread)
