VRD amps NOS Valves

Since I didn't have any responses to this query, I thought I would post an update.

I received my used pair of Craig Ostby's VRD monoblock amps last Monday and couldn't be happier. With the exception of absolute power, they are all I could ask for in an amplifier. They absolutely make my Montanas come to life. I am still toying with the idea of a custom pair with 4 output tubes per side, but lovin' every minute of the music with these little gems.

Oz, what other tube amps have you owned or heard in your system that you could compare the VRDs to?
